I always loved cooking this over a campfire. Try cooking it with your kids and make some memories for you and them.

Ingredients
  • 1. 2 1/2 pounds stew meat
  • 2. 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 3. 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 4. oil for browning meat
  • 5. 2 sliced onions
  • 6. 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 7. 1 28-ounce can tomatoes
  • 8. 3 tablespoon chili powder
  • 9. 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 10. 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 11. 2 cups chopped potatoes
  • 12. 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 13. 2 tablespoons flour
  • 14. 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
  • Step 1 Coat beef in flour, paprika, 1 teaspoon chili powder, and salt. In a Dutch oven over medium heat, brown beef.
  • Step 2 Add onions and garlic cook until soft. Add tomatoes, chili powder, cinnamon, cloves, and peppers. Cover and simmer for 2 hours.
  • Step 3 Add potatoes, and carrots and continue cooking until vegetables are done about 45 minutes.
  • Step 4 Serve with cornbread.
