A combination of my two favorite things. Sweet tea and pie!

Ingredients
  • 1. 2 cups sugar
  • 2. 2 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 3. 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4. 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 5. 1/2 butter, melted
  • 6. 1/4 cup double-strength sweet tea
  • 7. 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 8. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 9. zest of one lemon
  • 10. 1 pastry pie crust (9-inch)
  • 11. powdered sugar for dusting
Directions
  • Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2 In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, cornmeal, flour, salt, butter, tea, vinegar, and vanilla extract. Add eggs and lemon zest, whisking again until combined. Pour into pie crust.
  • Step 3 Place pie on a baking sheet and bake 50-55 minutes.
  • Step 4 Let cool for two hours. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the top and serve.
